So, I like to ramble on, usually about random things on my Twitter account: #vintagefixstore. Nothing wrong with that right? The way I see it is, I really enjoy reading other people's ramdom tweets about their everyday musings, and so, I should be doing my part to.
Today, I did my best to share how delicious these Swedish Walnuts were, that a coworker of mine had made, and I really couldn't do them any justice, except to say that I think I want to move to Sweden. There's only so much one can say in 140 characters, after all.
In order to share all good things in my life (okay, carefully edited things), I wanted to share this recipe with you guys. I think just reading the recipe should make some of your mouths start to water. Oh and please share this with others, as we are just around the corner from Christmas, and they would make a great treat to bring or serve at any party or get-together you may partake in. Enjoy!

Swedish Walnuts:
Melt one stick of butter or margarine and melt in a 9x13 in. pan.
Beat 2 egg whites. Add 1(one) cup of sugar and a pinch of salt. Beat for 2 or 3 minutes. With a spoon, stir in 5 cups of walnuts until well-coated.
Spread nut mixture on top of melted margarine.
Sprinkle cinnamon over nuts.
Bake at 325 for 45-55 minutes, stirring every ten minutes.
Feel free to add more cinnamon the first couple of times your stir.

Easy right? Even for all of you who thought it would be some complicated thing. Silly you! I would never hand out something difficult like that.
xo, Brooke

Know what today is?
If you, like most other people started off the year by saying that you were going to be eating healthier, than fear not! This recipe is fabulous and the word pancake had quotations around it for a reason! Think of it more like a crepe - is your mouth watering yet?
So here it is (shamelessly taken out of the Health magazine) with some alterations of my own, of course:
The Healthy "Pancake"
You will need:
-2 egg whites
-1 egg
-1/2 tsp. of pure vanilla extract
-1 Tbsp. of sugar (or whichever sweetner you prefer, honey works great!)
-fruit to go with it (I like strawberries and nectarines)
{Whip them up with a whisk, pour em' into a large non-stick skillet heated med-high, and let those eggs cook, flip over, and you have yourself a happy little breakfast, and full tummy!}
Enjoy!
p.s. IHOP is giving away a free short stack of pancakes today, but is gladly accepting donations!
Today is going to be a good day!
